Events at the Vilas County Fairgrounds
Annual Vilas County Fair
Date: Thur. August 13th - Sun. August 16th, 2026
Each day on the fairgrounds will be: Exhibits, “Potlicker”, Chainsaw Carving, Face Painter, "Casady's Critters" primate zoo with monkeys & baby kangaroos, Beer Garden.
National Championship Musky Open
Date: August 20 – August 23, 2026
Location: Tournament headquarters will be at Vilas County Fairgrounds
The Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center and Musky Clubs Alliance of Wisconsin, Inc. are pleased to announce the 40th Annual National Championship Musky Open Tournament.
Important Info:
- All contestants must register in person, receive all tournament information, and attend a briefing before fishing by Saturday morning at 6:30 AM.
- A confirmation registration card will be mailed to you—please bring it to the tournament registration.
- Food available at Tournament Headquarters:
- Thursday & Saturday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM (provided by the Greater Eagle River Tennis Association)

Zurko's Midwest Promotions Flea Market
Dates: September 5th & 6th, 2026, Saturday & Sunday
Time: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Admission: $2 (Kids 12 & under free with an adult)
Free parking. Accepting vendor applications.
Cranberry Fest
Dates: October 3 & 4, 2026
Location: Vilas County Fairgrounds
Everything cranberry and more! From fresh cranberries and craisins to delicious foods, pastries, cranberry beer, wine, and warm autumn drinks. Enjoy homemade goods, arts and crafts, clothing, and music—there’s something for everyone!
More than Cranberries: While cranberries are the highlight, attendees can also explore an arts and crafts fair, an antique/vintage and farmers market, and family entertainment throughout the weekend.
